Hi there! My name is Nicolette, but you can call me Nic.
Born and raised in the greater Los Angeles area, diversity in architecture has always surrounded me, and it’s evoked the most magnetic feeling for as long as I can remember.
Since my earliest years, I’d look at homes and wonder what made up the contents beyond those exterior walls. What was the flooring like? Was there wallpaper in the bedrooms? Was there both a Living Room and a Family Room, each being used for distinct functions? Was there a formal Dining Room? A Kitchen island? What was the color story, the style, the mood? What made it home?
This curiosity never faltered, and I went on to study Interior Design at Northern Arizona University, where I achieved my Bachelor’s Degree. I then planted roots in Los Angeles and got to work in my field. Starting in the residential custom home space and then entering the short term rental industry, I began to work privately under my own name and business.
Taking all I’d learned over the years, I melded my knowledge and experience of custom home design with short term rental design to create memorable, tailored spaces for groups to experience together. I do everything from remodels to refreshes and styling. I am a concept-to-completion Designer eager to get my hands on every part of the process and create functional, beautiful spaces for my clients.
Casual, moody, layered spaces are my favorite. Rich patterns in harmony with mixed materials and natural elements is my jam. Vintage pieces and sculptural components are always a good idea, and deep hues are a staple. I swoon over arches and a good front door. I’m Nic and this is how I take up space.
